  Woo! First review on Amazon.

And there's like this guy on the train that looks like the Terminator. He's emotionless with that same strong face and jaw. Just stares sometimes. Doesn't move his body while he sits, just slowly turns his head. Whew! Oh yeah, and I've started timing myself riding home. Took exactly 50 minutes the first day, 51 the next, 45 the third, and 43 Thursday. Oh yeah. I'm going to slam that 40 one of these days.

But really, I'm posting because I had a great idea tossed my way last night by my sisters... apparently there was a large spider in their room you see and...

Whew! Just got back from a counseling appointment. Suffering from too many credits-itis. No tennis or FAid for me til I go back to Uni. Darn.

Started Mandarin yesterday! Lots of fun. And kiohl, get this... we get to do a storybook! :D Guess Xue will get a backstory after all.

Biked home from lightrail. Guess we'll be doing that every night. It's about nine miles and people were STILL up when I got home so I couldn't sleep til late last night. The ride isn't really tiring, it's the darn insomnia mixed with the need to recuperate after the ride that is going to kill me for the first week or so.

So, I don't know whether to Burst Out into geek mode or rant and rave...

But the REAL Devastator just joined the lineup. TFW2005 reported in the past few days of a Legends (a small, maybe two inch size) version that includes all 7 (as opposed to the 100 buck version's 6) Constructicons that have ALL THREE MODES. Robot, vehicle, and combined form. Again, as opposed to the insanely overpriced version's vehicle and combined form. So, why couldn't we get the standard sized version?

And... where can I pre-order mine :DD

  I... don't think I know any mother's on LJ, but I said it.

Sold 3 copies today. Maybe "provided 3 copies to loving family members" sounds better since, uh, it isn't MY day or anything...

So the tally reaches 15. Not bad for one week of zero promotion on my part >.>

First Book and news

Wow, so, just copying and pasting the mess of a first book I have into the template for the book currently published yields 468 pages unformatted and uncorrected. Yikes! It's also unfinished and un... uh, something... so there are more pages to come (I hope over the summer). My plan is this: over the summer (whilst I kill myself taking Mandarin at night, I was always terrible at kanji) I will finish writing the book. I will then tear it apart into sections and outline it. Hopefully that won't be too painful. I drop what I don't need, notate where the weak parts are and what needs to be filled in, and then begin the rewriting process when that is done. At this point I am unsure (ha! knew I'd get another in there somehow) if I will rewrite it entirely or just "fill-in-the-blank" sort of. I'm leaning towards rewrite entirely but I desperately want to just use and reuse.

Whew! So that's what's going on here. Oh yeah, and I sold (rather, my dad brought a copy to a work meeting) 2 copies of the book yesterday (yay!) and hope that I can get some kind of good feedback. One person said they were just going to donate it to the public library o.o Another is a former comic guy so, he might be tough :D

Anyway, I promise to try to update, I know I deleted all the entries with the book but, hey, I'm trying to downsize my internet presence at the moment. No entries with names that people might search >.> Guess I should take down the first book too. I'm keeping copies of all the comments and my personal notes though. And again, I'll link the book page soon. I have to actually put something up there. Uh, you know, now that people have my book and can uh, view the website...

If last post saw the clouds on the horizon, this post shows the storm hitting with full fury. I had intended sections of this to be longer but I felt it would be better to split it up and not just blaze through certain parts. After all, I'm at the end now. I've waited almost a year for this now and there is no need to rush it out now. Well, aside from impending NaNoWriMo for this year and school and stuff but... that's beside the point, right? :D

So, here it is, the last chapter before we get cooking. Sadly, I kind of copped out on this one. I think it was because I treated it like a transition chapter and I'm a horrible transition writer. Eh, I'll come back to it sometime. Just like the rest of the book.

But after this, things get moving. We're now to our 'final boss stage' now; no mini-boss, no more keys to find, no dungeon item (hehe, can't tell where my mind's been...). I'm really hoping I can write what I thought up over the weekend (and the last half a year) because I could see it sooo clearly in my head. Especially with certain music playing... But whatever happens, it should be fun, and I hope it'll be fun to read as well. Anyway, here is my final 'before the storm' chapter. Enjoy.

Okay, this is somewhat spoilerish so I'll stick it under a link but I don't think it's that bad in the long run. I have this fun screenplay (and various other uses) program that I messed with to write out my scenes for this year and here are the 'chapter titles'. They're really more like track titles for a soundtrack. I have to do that btw. I haven't done that since my first novel when I was in Digital Design at the same time and used the novel as the basis for my CD case. Yeah, think I'll do it this year too.

Anyway, if you don't mind having to wait a month (or more for some) to find out what all these mean, go ahead.

Yep. There was a part two in me. Just couldn't end it there it seems. Anyway, coming to a head here. I'm trying to both extend this and only go up to 100k. Fortunately I still have 16k to go but then... I still have 16k to go...

Either way, Book Two is looking like it's going to happen so, hey, stay tuned for that. Just a few more weeks now. Can't wait!

Besides, I ended it in such a way that it could be the end of that chapter if I didn't still have more I wanted to get done. Eh, who knows. It might turn out to be the end anyway. Since the beginning of the semester, I have been dashing across the room to the cafeteria from my little coffee bar to hit the ground and roll under the gate as they close it, thereby scaring the pants off whoever sees me doing it. It's a blast.

Take the book you are currently reading. If you are not currently reading anything, grab your favorite book off your shelf.

Go to the 9th page. 7th paragraph. You may need to flip pages after the 9th to do this. Continue to the 20th word of the paragraph. You many need to change paragraphs to do this. Go to the 12th character. Include spaces. If the character lands on a word, post that word. If it lands on a space, choose between the two words surrounding the space and post one of those words.
